Hello and welcome! I am an Australian YA author writing contemporary fiction for young adult readers. I write for young adults because I never stopped being one. I just learnt how to hide it so grown-ups would take me more seriously. I’ll let you know how that’s working out for me later…
My first book, Creepy & Maud (Fremantle Press, 2012) was Shortlisted for the Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award in the Older Readers category, 2013. It was released in Germany in 2014 by Konigskinder Verlag. My second book, A Small Madness (Allen & Unwin), was published in February 2015. A Small Madness was also published in Germany by Konigskinder Verlag, in North America by Groundwood Books and in the UK by Murdoch Books. My latest novel, Forgetting Foster, was published by Allen & Unwin in 2016, in Germany by Carlsen Verlag and in the United States in 2018 under the title Sticky Notes (Penguin Random House). Forgetting Foster was Shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Award, Young Adult Catergory, in 2018.
